Location

VIC is located in Chile, South America. The project is situated in the desert of Atacama at an average height of 380 meters above sea level and 10.5 kilometers south of the city of Vallenar, in the Third Region of Chile.

The Atacama Region has little precipitation with an annual average of 64 mm of rainfall. The prevailing winds come from the south and southwestern areas of the project, with some sea breeze due to the proximity of the geologic properties of VIC to the Pacific Ocean, where the presence of the Humboldt current moderates the temperatures.
